Steven C. Smith is a four-time Emmy-nominated producer and author. His over 200 documentaries about film include collaborations with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron, Sidney Poitier and Julie Andrews. His upcoming documentaries include Kubrick-Harris, an exploration of Stanley Kubrick and James B. Harris’ eight-year partnership, and The Sound of Murder: Hitchcock, Herrmann and the Scores That Changed Hollywood. Smith's biographies of Bernard Herrmann and Max Steiner each received the ASCAP Deems Taylor-Virgil Thomson award.
